Updated at: 1725 PST, Saturday, June 20, 2009BAHAWALPUR: Police after investigation found that the story of the boy who jumped off a freight train last night was anything but truth.
“The whole drama was staged to settle an account of an old enmity,” said Bahawalpur Regional Police Officer.
He said further investigation from the boy who jumped off the freight train disclosed that he got on board the train from Bahawalpur railway station and dismounted at Sama Satta where he went to the house of his relatives Akhtar Shah and Javed Shah.
Using the child, Javed and Akhtar weaved the plot to settle an old enmity and frame some people. They shackled the boy in chains and then informed the police.
Police has began further investigation after arresting Akhtar Shah and Javed Shah.
It may be mentioned here that the boy had run away from his house two days ago and his family members have no knowledge whatsoever of the whole episode. The folks of the child did not inform the police about the child going missing.
